Tesco home contents insurance unveils new discount offer
Tesco home contents insurance revealed details of a new discount offer for its customers today.
Under the terms of the deal, the best home contents insurance provider will give £50 cashback for all existing home insurance customers - if they sign up for a new Standard or Finest policy.
What's more, a 35 per cent discount on the policies is also on offer for this group.
However, a deadline for the new deal was also imposed by Tesco home contents insurance today - 12th November 2008.
The provider suggested that it was cutting prices as a result of the recent economic downturn, which has left many customers feeling out of pocket.
Loans, mortgage and credit card provision have all been affected by the ongoing credit crunch, while inflation has also risen to a 16-year high of 4.7 per cent.
Jim Bruce at Tesco commented: "We are aware of the strain on people's finances at the moment. This offer will help reduce one of the costs associated with home ownership."
