Direct Line home insurance 'for pubs'
New Direct Line home insurance aimed at pub and restaurant owners has been launched.
The cheap home insurance cover includes public liability and products liability for claims of up to £2 million - as well as employers' liability for up to £10 million.
Optional extras for the hospitality staff involve cover for loss of licence and household contents, the firm said.
Protection for sudden closures - such as that forced by extreme weather conditions - come as standard for the new policies, however.
Kate Syred at Direct Line commented: "Running a pub or restaurant presents its own set of challenges and our insurance is designed to reflect this.
"That's why you're covered if a member of the public slips up on your premises, or if one of your members of staff injures themselves - we understand that these are particular concerns in a busy environment."
The new home insurance policy is available through the Direct Line for business suite.
