Lloyds TSB life insurance affiliate launches new mortgage product
A new "airmiles mortgage" has been launched by life assurance provider Lloyds TSB.
The new home loan, launched by an affiliate of Lloyds TSB life insurance, allows customers a "lump sum" of 6,000 airmiles when they complete payments.
Purchasers of the three year fixed rates - which vary in rates depending on the size of deposit offered by the borrower - will therefore be allowed a free return flight to destination such as Barbados or Hong Kong when they finish the mortgage.
Commenting on the offer, Alison Burns at Lloyds TSB said that the rates offered by the deal - which start at 5.89 per cent - were "competitive" and that the airmiles offer was "genuinely useful".
She added: "We all enjoy the idea of getting something for free and in a time when mortgage payments are a top priority, this offer enables customers to earn rewards on their essential spending."
